About Pirlo's Dessert Lounge

The warm hum of conversation blends effortlessly with the subtle clinking of cutlery at Pirlo's Dessert Lounge, a venue where the atmosphere plays as vital a role as the sweets themselves. Soft lighting caresses the sleek tables, creating an inviting yet intimate environment that complements the experimental yet approachable vibe of the menu. Occasional bursts of laughter punctuate the air, hinting at the enjoyment derived not only from the food but also from the social experiences these desserts encourage. Amidst this setting, the service strikes a balance—attentive without being intrusive, guiding diners through the diverse offerings with a quiet confidence.

A closer look at the food reveals a nuanced approach to classic dessert staples, reimagining flavors with creative twists that test the palate without overwhelming it. The richness of a dark chocolate mousse contrasts delightfully with the subtle acidity of accompanying raspberry coulis, while lighter options like a citrus-infused panna cotta offer refreshing counters. Exploring Pirlo's Dessert Lounge through photos online captures vibrant presentations that match the taste experience, though the actual dishes occasionally fall short of their visual allure. These nuances appear frequently in Pirlo's Dessert Lounge reviews, where most commend the adventurous spirit yet note variability in portion sizes that occasionally challenge expectations for value.

The interplay of these elements shapes the overall experience into something more than just a dessert tasting but rather a deliberate exploration of textures, tastes, and moments. While some might find the lounge’s interior more suited for evening indulgences, the daylight hours open up a different ambiance, sunnier and more casual yet no less charming. Context matters here, especially when considering the location near busy streets, which contrasts with the lounge's serene interior. When delving into Pirlo's Dessert Lounge menu, a curious diner will find their choices aligning closely with trends in contemporary dessert culture, establishing this restaurant as a noteworthy destination not solely for its sweets but as a crossroads of culinary creativity and laid-back conviviality.

First time visit. The staff were really attentive. Especially the gentleman, I think he was the owner. Can’t remember his name!!!! Didn’t catch his name! He was really helpful, kind and informative and he let me taste some of the gelato before I chose them for my sundae, which is not a given in most places. The presentation of the desserts were impeccable. I really enjoyed it and I will definitely visit back here again..the only thing was that it was really cold in the place but other than that I’ll still come back for sure! The hot chocolate was so nice too and well presented. A lot of pride and effort goes into making the desserts for the customers. It’s not rushed. You get your moneys worth for sure! Thanks guys!!! See you again!

Initially me and my sister went to get takeaway dessert but we got there too early and its not the type of place you get takeaway from the decor was beautiful and the welcome was so warm. We were met by one of the owners Will who was an absolute dream so kind and accommodating he made us two delicious desserts and was telling us that we should have had lunch there because the menu is really nice and that they have dj's on the weekend. We felt so welcome there i had my 4 month old and he offered to warm anything I needed to be warmed and there was also baby changing. I would definitely go back especially to taste the lunch menu and to experience the weekend vibes.

We arrived at Pirlos not knowing anything about the restaurant and on our way to a music gig at the O2 Institute. We didn’t realise until we came to order that the new owner didn’t yet have a drinks licence (applied for) Apparently it was just a Dessert Restaurant but now serves meals. We decided to stay, not knowing what to expect. We are so glad we did!! The food was amazing, chicken skewers were really tasty and spiced beautifully, pizza was excellent, prawns were so tasty and the brisket beef hot sandwich was to die for. The food was priced competitively. The owner was very attentive and even gave us all a complementary bottle of water each. We were all really impressed and would recommend thus restaurant especially once the drinks licence is in place.

Today was my first time coming here. The gentleman that welcomed us was very polite and friendly. Super helpful recommending dishes. We weren’t given drinks menus so didn’t get to see what they had. Ordered bottled water and unfortunately one of the glasses was dirty. Ordered steak and asked for this to be well-done, waiter said this isn’t an option and it only comes medium-rare? Asked to see a drinks menu, apparently it’s only on the tablet so couldn’t see it. Ordered a strawberry mojito which unfortunately never got made, this was disappointing. The restaurant wasn’t busy only one other table of people seated. Didn’t have any ketchup. The tagliatelle was however very nice.

This place was amazing. I highly recommend everyone goes. The food is 10/10, and the service was great. We had a birthday and they gave us a free personalisation on our desserts and free drinks. I couldn’t recommend this place enough, they were the cutest place with a lively atmosphere. 100% go to support small businesses, I wish them the very best and will be a regular customer!!

I’ve been to Pirlo’s twice recently since they launched their new menu, and both visits have been amazing! The first time I had a prawn starter and a pizza, both were full of flavour. On my second visit I tried the bruschetta (honestly the best I’ve ever had!) and the mushroom pasta, which was rich and delicious. The desserts are really good too, and the strawberry lemonade was very refreshing. The staff are always so friendly, polite and welcoming and the place has a lovely vibe in general. The only thing I’d change is I wish they served alcohol, as I’d definitely be more inclined to stick around longer. Other than that, the food and atmosphere are spot on, definitely some of the best food I have had in a Digbeth!
